“We are the champions”
We are the champions, we are the champions no time for losers WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS.!! The song boomed through the gym. I felt the tears starting to swell up in my eyes. As I looked around I saw the families everyone grinning from ear to ear. We did it, we won the 4A state championship. We were all busting at the seams with joy all the sweat, all the hard work had finally paid off. It a was a thrilling game, excitement permeated the air. I couldn't believe we did it, we reached our goal, the goal every team strives for. We played the Orem tigers a skilled team but we proved that we were better. Every squeak from the shoes, every swish of the net every cheer from the crowd made it one of the best days of my life. We were overwhelmed, as we wrapped out arms around each other jumping to the same rhythm, I took a glance at each of my teammates faces, some filled with joy, some filled with relief, but each one filled with the greatest amount of happiness that I have ever seen or experienced. I never wanted this moment to end, a moment of complete happiness. The sound of shears snapping together, each of us taking our part of that much deserved net. Every time I hear this song all of my memories from that game come flooding back to me. And all of the amazing things that happened that day return to my thoughts, bringing me back to that day of complete happiness.
