Grammer post #5

I have wondered for a while when I should use semicolons in place of a period when separating two sentences and I found a rule that really helped

Use a semicolon in place of a period to separate two sentences where the conjunction has been left out.
Examples:
Call me tomorrow; I will give you my answer then.
I have paid my dues; therefore, I expect all the privileges listed in the contract.

The web page that has a lot of great things on it is, http://http://www.grammarbook.com/punctuation/semicolons.asp
